Trying New Things

I was playing one day and decided to try red Brusho Colour Crystals on a non-porous glittery cardstock and this background was the result. It formed tiny bubbles of color that just sat on top and dried like this. Kinda fun, right? I also pulled out my gold leafing stash from years ago because I have been loving the gold foil trend right now, but do not have a laminator and no plans to buy one. However, the gold Love and circle scribbles die cut on this card were easily created with two sided adhesive from Sookang and gold leafing (called gilding flakes by some.) The love chunky letter die is from Kaiser Craft and the circle scribbles die is by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. The heart and arrow are also from a new steel die from Sizzix and I pulled out my felt  for them- so easy to cut felt with the thicker steel dies.

I am entering this card in the Wedding/Anniversary challenge at Open-Minded Crafting and the Anything Goes challenge at 613 Avenue Create.

That is a cool looking background with all those splats formed that way. Neat card design too!
