Foiled Roses and Butterfly Birthday Card

I so love the look of foils on my cards, especially the Deco Foils from Therm-o-web with mixes of color or sequins or stars that move when the card is moved. But it is really hard to show that beauty in photographs. This rose foil background (Elegant Florals Foil-Mates from the new Gina K line at Therm-o-web) shimmers with a combination of pink and gold in the Summer Rainbow Deco Foil so much more in real life than in the photos. Here is another look:

Can you see it? The butterfly was made with the leftover foil and a toner sheet to achieve the negative image of the roses. I punched a butterfly and used a strip on the inside of the card too:

The sentiment is from another Gina K Foil-Mates set called Birthday Essentials and shimmers with a Gina K Fancy Foil called Gold Sequins. Both are from the new Gina K release at Therm-o-web.

In addition to the foiled roses on the front of the card, I die cut a Memory Box happy birthday stitched rectangle out of Momenta watercolor cardstock, added a black layer under the happy birthday part to make it stand out, and attached it with mounting tape to raise it.

Thanks for helping me #spread the joy of creativity!

That is gorgeous. I love the variation in colors and the roses are beautiful too.
